ESL Teacher
Ms. Carey has roots in Saluda going all the way back to her Cherokee ancestors, and she enjoys teaching ESL at Saluda Adult Education. Her interest is in Linguistics and connecting people through language. Ms. Carey received a Bachelor's degree in Foreign Language (Spanish) and Criminal Justice from Augusta University, a Master's degree in Teaching Foreign Language and ESOL from Valdosta State University, and a Master's degree in Public Administration from Valdosta State University. Ms. Carey is a Healthcare Interpreter as well as a Professional Interpreter in Education and enjoys participating in various healthcare clinics at local farms as an interpreter.
